Wine stimulates several neurotransmitters as well as opioid cells for the release of endorphins. This produces feelings of joy, enhanced pleasure, and euphoric sensations. For most wine drinkers, just a few sips and life looks better already!

2- CONTAINS ANTIOXIDANTS

Antioxidants are a powerful force in the human body, fighting against the free radicals common to cancer and other diseases. Red wine is especially strong in antioxidants and can substantially reduce the risks of most kinds of cancer in the body.

3- REDUCES ANXIETY

We all know that life is full of stress. The pressures of daily living, keeping up with all the technology and social demands, and maintaining the breakneck speeds we live at these days all take their toll on our health. Several studies have shown that those who drink one glass at least two days a week were less prone to depression. Too much, however, and the general depressant effect of alcohol can kick in and overtake the benefits. Keep it to a glass or two and feel better mentally.

Some surprising new studies have confirmed that wine is good for your brain as you age. Those who drink wine tend to rank highly in intelligence and maintain full use of their mental faculties longer than those who do not. This is especially true of red wine, which contains resveratrol and may help decrease Alzheimer’s.

There are several benefits  to the heart. Wine can break up blood clots and work as a general blood thinner, helping reduce the risk of a stroke or other circulatory problem. Tannins in red wine also contain procyanidins, which battle free radicals and have proven to be effective in battling cardiovascular disease. Those same procyanidins also help to lower cholesterol.

DRINK A LITTLE – NOT A LOT
